My continually talking up the West books continues to bear sporadic fruit.
megwrites just read The Broken Crown and has an interesting review here. She's trying to decide whether to continue the series, and welcomes spoilers, particularly re: Kiriel.
Looking back on The Sun Sword, as much as I like Valedan, that series really is all about the female characters and how awesome they are. With some Kallandras angst thrown in for good measure, amirite?

on 2011-06-15 05:40 pm (UTC)So true. So very, very true. The last cover for the last book really says it all. I'd actually say that the series is really about Kiriel's choice. There are a lot of other important things that happen, but Kiriel's final choice is the biggest one in the books.
